Five Abs exercises for women

A lot of men and women work to have rock hard abs. There are many exercises that can get the job done, and here are five abs exercises that are guaranteed to make you look like a star:


Side plank - This is one of the best exercises there is because it involves your whole core and it works every muscle group. Start in a high plank position, then, while contracting you core and keeping both arms straight down to the floor, move to one side and rest on one hand. Raise the other arm and hold it in the air. Hold this position for 20 - 30 seconds at first, or for as long as you can. Then do the same on the other side.

Plank punches - Start in a high plank position and rest on one hand while the other arm and hand is pointing forward. This will not only work your core to the maximum, but it will work your hands and your shoulders as well.

Roman twist. While you are lying on your back, lift yourself up slowly until you feel your core fully contracting. Put your hands together in front of your abdomen and twist from one side to the other making sure that you keep that core tense.

Cycle crunch. This crunch will work your abs even harder than an ordinary crunch. Start by lying on your back and keep your hands behind your head. While lifting and twisting your upper body to the left, raise your left leg, almost like you are trying to touch your head with your knee. Repeat with the right leg.

Vertical leg crunch. Start by lying on your back with your hands behind your head for support, then slowly lift your legs up while making sure that you are contracting your whole abdomen. Maintain the position for at least a minute, then repeat.
